How to Add Text in ClipChamp (2024)

How to add and edit text:
1. Click on Text on the left side
2. Select the title or text you would like and add it to the timeline
3. Edit the size, position and what the text says in the video player.
4. Click Text on the left side to edit it in more detail.
5. Drag ends of text in timeline to make it longer or shorter.

I find it unable to longer or shorter the text duration. When I paste it in it is only there for 3sec but cannot be longer. Any solution to solve?

When dragging down my Text selection, I do not get a time line duration, but only a single insert line (only a few seconds) which I cannot expand to allow the text to be visible for the duration of the video. What am I missing? I have searched this issue without success.

Yeah, it's not letting me grab the sides of the text to extend how long it stays on screen, and its not filling the whole timeline like shown in your video. It only lasts like a second and won't let me extend it, is this locked behind a paywall for some reason???

Hey, have you found a way to add an outline to the instant text? I'd like to be able to make it more readable when editing gaming videos. I have lots of friends that add a lot to the conversation, but it's hard to really make it stand out without an outline.

Thank you! For some reason I can't seem to figure out how to write more than one sentence. It wont let me klick the enter button to go doen to the next line. Is this just how it is?? I want to write an actual text and not one sentence

I can click on text and drag it there, but it won't let me actually type any words. It just keeps "subtitle" or "text". Frustrating.

@Swiftness - What version are you using? I don't see that many options/features in the Text on my side. I am looking for the font size specifically and its not there for me 0:58

Excellent start and info on basics. However like many others commenting here, there were problems e.g. changing font colour.
Is it that you are using the upgrade version that explains why users of the free version can't use the processes you are able to show here?
