I'm 100% with you, I once played through all of GTA San Andreas on my phone while in the car on a road trip. The journey passed so quickly.

When it comes to mobile games, I tend to mostly play console ports such as Fortnite, Wreckfest, and SpongeBob Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated. Emulation is a breath of fresh air for mobile gaming as you can play a ton of classic games on your phone. Cloud gaming is pretty cool, but your experience will vary depending on your internet connection and the service you are using.

My first dive into the emulation rabbit hole, was in 2014 when I first emulated Crash Bandicoot 2 (PS1 game) on my Galaxy S4. At the time, I could not believe something like that was actually possible, where I am able to play fully featured console games on my phone. After I discovered emulation, I have never looked back at mobile games, since even in 2014 many of them was cash grabs and it has only gotten worse over the years.

Now about 10 years later, I'm rocking a S20 FE (last S series phone to still support a micro SD card) with a 256 GB micro SD card that is packed to the brim with ROMs😄.

I have used Steam link and have gained a lot of success, better signal, less/ next to no lag using Wi-Fi 6 on both my PC and Phone. Works great.

One of the first things I did when I got my current phone is test out some emulators.
I have a Steam Deck now, so I don't really need to use my phone, but I still keep a few PS2 ISOs there.

i just bought an Asus Zenfone 9 andI love it, and it absolutely has gaming specs, but I dont actually play anything other than Clash of Clans.

also it has a headphone jack built in

As a s23 ultra user, if you have access to 5G speeds on the go, it's very possible to play remotely to your PC via Parsec. One complaint would be the half baked keyboard support that Parsec mobile has currently.
