AS I AM WRITING THIS, the maintenance team from my complex just removed my washer drum (just like in the video) and had to scrub the entire thing with bleach and other chemicals. THE WASHING MACHINE CLEANER TABLETS ONLY LOOSENED SOME OF SAID NASTY STUFF AND NEVER WENT AWAY AFTER SIX CONSECUTIVE MAINTENANCE WASHES!!! Those tablets are for maintaining an already clean drum, NOT ONE THATS NEVER BEEN CLEANED IN 3yrs! 😅

I worked on appliances and these only maintains an already clean washer. The gunk build-up usually doesn't affect the cleaning of clothes with exception only of foul odor. The dirt from your clothes beomes like magnets to the built up slime. Removing this build up is by power wash, scrubbing with the addition of vinegar. Physically removing is the necessary.
Remember to also not overload/overstuff your wash. That traps the dirt and circulation of detergents.

I've been using these Active tablets in my top-loading Speed Queen. A couple residents in my house use Tide pods, whereas I use clear and clean detergent with no softening agents. The machine got pretty smelly from a few years of use so I've started using Active tablets. I've been adding 2 tablets for heavy cleaning and letting the drum soak before running the full cycle on heavy. Seems to be getting better in there but still needs some more treatment.

These are also great for cleaning dehumidifiers, hard water buildup, the toilet tank, and dehumidifier tanks. I love this product.

Don’t use fabric softener (use vinegar). It removes hard water in your fabric/clothes

I was working on this today and took the center part off that holds the fabric softener so that I can clean it. After I took it off, I noticed there was a small metal piece just kind of lying there, not secured. It was rusty, so I've cleaned it and have no idea what the next step is . ADHD here too. :(

I remember that my grandma used to have a very old AEG Lavamat washing machine and it was that old and loud and stuff and we didn't knew those stuffs yet... if those stuffs came out many years ago they still would have the old washing machine with a little bit fix of plastic and stuffs but that thing was indestructable.

White vinegar, empty, 90° wash. Just did it yesterday, can take front load filter out now without gagging. Needs another go but freshly washed clothes already smell a lot better.

Sucks for me because I am in a situation where I use a shared washer and dryer. There are about eight of each units in the room. I mean they literally just replaced them last week or so with brand new ones, but I can’t exactly buy these and put them in every single machine after a year. So I’m just kind of stuck washing my clothes and dirty machines I guess

These work took my washer apart after 7 years there wasnt a spec of dirt. It blew me away i was expecting nastiness

These did nothing for mine. Still was getting brown flecks on our clothes. I finally just bought a new machine 🤷‍♀️

simple green works. 64 oz. to full washer cold water. start and stop the cycle for a few minutes, then let it sit for about 15 mins, over a hour time then finish cycle.

Nobody's cleaned the machines at my apartment complex in 10 years that's how long I've been there

I've bought them before they don't work. I still get the egg smell from the leftover stuff. It's inside the washer, but since I don't own the washer, i'm not allowed to take it apart
