people who are spreading hate in these comments need to start actually educating themselves. Aisha was already engaged before she met the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) which already means that she reached the age of maturity for marriage at the time. The way they calculated age was a lot different back then and even though Aisha said that she was 9, it is likely that she wasn't fully aware of her age (Remember, we are talking about the 6th century). People who spread hate always bring up the ages 6-9 but in actuality, many researchers believe that her age may be between 9-18 at the time of marriage. And aside from that, the way humans matured and aged is entirely different to how it is now, a 22 year old now most likely would have been equivalent to a 12 year old back then. You will not find anything in history critizizing the marriage of Muhammad (PBUH) & Aisha, it is only being brought up now. Remember that the people who are critizizing the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) have their own agenda and ignore looking at the actual facts and evidence and like jumping to conclusions. Christains who we muslims respect and love are even critizing our Prophet (PBUH) when they are completely ignorant about the fact that Mary was 12 years old and married Joseph when he was 90. They have an explanation and so do we, stop being ignorant and put your prejusice aside ands face the actual facts. STOP LISTENING TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE AN AGENDA. Narrated `Aisha:

I used to play with the dolls in the presence of the Prophet, and my girl friends also used to play with me. When Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to enter (my dwelling place) they used to hide themselves, but the Prophet would call them to join and play with me. (The playing with the dolls and similar images is forbidden, but it was allowed for `Aisha at that time, as she was a little girl, not yet reached the age of puberty.) (Fath-ul-Bari page 143, Vol.13)

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ قَالَتْ كُنْتُ أَلْعَبُ بِالْبَنَاتِ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَكَانَ لِي صَوَاحِبُ يَلْعَبْنَ مَعِي، فَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا دَخَلَ يَتَقَمَّعْنَ مِنْهُ، فَيُسَرِّبُهُنَّ إِلَىَّ فَيَلْعَبْنَ مَعِي‏.‏
