Diminishing returns except fork and rear sus...durability with performance is king here!👑 Plus, can upgrade as the budget allows.💸

Looking at new is not always the best option. I bought my ep8 powered 2022/23 merida e-160 500se from my local trail centres ex hire range. It still came with a 1 year warranty and a free 1 year service. £2500. They even updated it to the cm800 switch and screen for me. This option is definitely worth considering for a lot of people instead of buying new.

6000 is exactly what I paid for mine. USD. Before taxes haha. Amazing emtb. First emtb and im in Love with it! Lets me see many more trails than i used to see bc of fear of climbing back up. ❤I agree with your statements too!

What you need to spend isn't near as important as what you get out of your bike(s). I do not mtb, but find these videos informative for my business and cycling in general. I got rid of my car and truck when I retired. I can justify such a bike with what I have saved inside of a year. That is a 100% tax free return on investment.

It is odd how we will argue that similarly priced, fitted golf clubs make sense, but they save us nothing, provide very little exercise, improve our game even less and can only be used in ideal weather!

Don't laugh. We are the same way with jacked up 4wd pick-up accessories that almost never get used. How about $40k motorcycles that are flat out dangerous on the street and also can only be used half the time, at best. This is all to say nothing of sports cars, boats or fishing gear. At least with quality cycling components you have a measureable, even demonstrable, difference.

But... a serious cyclist needs his bike... to cost more than the car it's on.... 😂😂😂
