You can still hear the frequency of the tv my ears are bleeding (edit: I had a crt tv, it’s just that It was really loud and wanted to mention it

For all of those wondering why there are stripes, it's because that's where the separators between the colored strips are. You can see them on your own actually; you just need to get close up on the TV though. Wouldn't recommend someone with long hair do that!

The "pixels" in a CRT are these lines. If you look very close to a color CRT, you will see red green and blue lines. I heard they're made out of phosphor. If electrons hit them, they glow.

im guessing the scan rate of the copier and the frame rate of the tv clashed in some way and removed all the color?

The copy shows lines probably because of the TV scanlines. Since the cathodic rays move from one side to another and from top to bottom, but the photocopy sensor moves too, the copy shows us diagonal lines.
