Counting objects using image segmentation methods
Abstract
The article describes image processing, where a comparison of selected image segmentation algorithms for counting the number of objects in an image was performed. The comparison was performed on a real example of photographic images, taken under everyday conditions. The results obtained were verified for correctness and accuracy, for which purpose the Jaccard index was used. The comparison was performed using a proprietary tool implemented in Python.
