"The Shard" puzzle theme from "Mirror's Edge".

I was unsatisfied with the puzzle themes uploaded here so I rearranged it myself using the Ogg Vorbis files directly from the game. Unfortunately the game files appear to have all frequencies above 16500hz cut-off. This is roughly the equivalent of a 160kbps mp3. However due to the way Ogg Vorbis compresses audio it sounds better than it's mp3 equivalent. Still even with lossy files it sounds greatly better than that of the official soundtrack considering that the official soundtrack had horrendous mastering. The download link below is a 320kbps mp3 (rather than a lower bit rate) to minimize further loss of quality from converting Vorbis to MP3.

Not sure why i chose that picture, somehow i felt it fit the track :\

I think Mirror's Edge has changed my life, it's a source of inspiration that never ends, not only the sound tracks but everything in the game, whenever I listen I feel that one day I will get to where I want to be, adult, alone or with someone, in a nice place and happy to have done the things I wanted, this is just a little of what this game means to me, the feeling that this game goes through is inexplicable

Merc is dead and faith is now alone climbing the shard to get to her sister this stage has a special feel to nostalgia and immersion.

1:09 - 1:15 is the single most nostalgic and beautiful sound I've ever heard

This gives me flashbacks from childhood when the world seemed amazing to me...

I closed my eyes while listening to this and all I could picture in my mind is exactly how the game's city looked like. Big city, tall white buildings, blue sky with no clouds, but with futuristic cars speeding on the roads.

I listened to this while I was falling asleep, and I had a good dream and woke up feeling alive. Thank you Syslocal, hope you can possibly get picked for mirrors edge 3 😁😁

I miss the hype that was lurking the world when Mirrors Edge Catalyst didn't even have a known release date at the time.

Short ambient game, I like it. It's one of my favorites. This sure beats Catalyst.

I'm not sure where your mind was at when you decided ventilation pipes would be the best cover art but it really does fit with the song XD

Would anyone like for me to re-upload this track again?
That way the image would actually fit the video window & be up-to-date with YouTube's new streaming standards (192kbps vs the old 128kbps). I'd still keep this video up for those of you who have this bookmarked/favorited and such.
Basically the picture not fitting bugs me :P

i swear to god this game's song made me so a little sad to be honest the game is beautiful and if the creator sees this thank you to whoever created the game

Amazing, professional mix of the song, if you hadn't done it already I would have had to spend some time doing it. But really it's the perfect mix 👌

It’s hard to describe the emotions I feel when listening to this. Mirrors edge was such a cool experience for me (I first played it in 2014 when I was 10). Coming back to it after many years just takes my back to happier and simpler times in life as a child. But it also makes me feel proud of what I’ve become and also makes me hopeful for the future like anything is possible. It almost makes me want to cry but at the same time it makes me feel so happy and inspired that I can’t cry.

these yellow tubes really exist in the catalyst, I don’t remember seeing them in the first one, since this video is from before the catalyst, maybe someone was inspired on it

Solar Fields is the reason I discovered Mirror's Edge! I felt the game fit his style perfectly.
