Shouldnt the answer to the first part of the problem be negative? since the boot is pressing clockwise?

what would have ben the magnitude of the force required to tighten the lug nut if the support board wasn't there?

i have one that i would like to see completed, its a screenshot. its not in the book but its from chapter 4.6 from the mastering engineering. probably simple but i ran out of time.

why we dont have have Fy? since it is also perpendicular at x axis

i think the first answer should be negative because fz is going down and if u want distance is clockwise .
