I live out side Seattle and one day I was on my back porch smoking a cigarette and I called my wife outside and said " I'm not sure if I'm mistaken or what but I think I just saw a plane do like a roll." She said "So?" Then I replied " No it was like a big plane. Like the ones that fly passangers. The big ones." I think she thought I was messing with her then we saw this on the news later. It was kinda crazy.

He did it because he never felt like he belonged anywhere. As soon as he got in and flew he was a natural. He probably wanted to stay in that moment forever but knew he couldn't. It's sad when people don't achieve what they were meant to do all along. There is no greater discontent in my opinion. He never felt as free as he was in those moments.

This is still one of the saddest things I’ve witnessed in this lifetime. Not that I was there, but .. after listening to the black box recordings I came to love Beebo, and I’m so very sad he didn’t land safely, and become a pilot. I wish he had had a happier ending. He and his family deserved that much.

As a teenager, a friend/acquaintance of mine took an airplane that didn't belong to him, a single engine light plane, and flew it around the patch. Today, he's a respected aerobatic show pilot and was hired by a foreign government to teach their military pilots. He is well known for the historic one of a kind aircraft he has built. A genuine legend, and a nice guy too.

The result of a man fed up with the system. He seen an opportunity and took it. Listen to the flight recordings, for a moment you can hear happiness until the realization he has once he mentions the people he was about to leave behind.

I coached youth football in Alaska for 7 years. I had the pleasure of coaching that young man while he was in junior high. He worked hard and he improved his game and he became an absolute animal on the football field. While doing so he maintained a kindness towards the smaller players he protected them. He was a phenomenal person a phenomenal teammate and one of the favorite kids that I ever had the pleasure of being around. I cried when this happened.
