How’s this for a solution. Pep benches Haaland for a few games and puts Grealish as an extra body in the middle for ball recovery, defence and to help with the build up. In Regards to attack he just calls a meeting with Foden, KDB and Doku and tells them Merry Christmas here are your balls back, forget what I coached you and just go out there and do what you were born to do.

Not my initial idea but I agree with it. Maybe the players already know the fate of the charges they're facing and can't be bothered. Relegation form means they would get relegated on their own terms.
