My ex invited me to her birthday party which I went too, and stayed the night. We had a couple of drinks 🍹and half way through the night she said too me she regrets breaking up with me, wants the relationship back. She said she was in the wrong and said she will be more understanding with my needs. I don’t know what too do about this, she was being completely honest of how she feels. I guess it’s all the sober thoughts coming out deep down.

I’m sure these are great things for some people, I’d kill for the opportunity to hold her hand, hug her or even just look at her closer than from across a room. My ex is completely radio silent after breaking up with me. She’s full of self pity and doubt, she knows she hurt me and feels overwhelming guilt for that. She says she is messed up inside and needs to grow up, which I believe. I just figured it would be easier to learn and grow with me than without me. We were only together a few months, she asked for a second chance which I offered in the way of “I’d be open to that” and asked her to coffee, she gladly accepted then failed to make plans. Now, it’s all but silent, I see her at work everyday and it’s silent ignoring for the most part. Every time she sees me, I catch her staring at me, it’s a really bizarre situation and frustrating because even she admits the breakup was stupid and didn’t need to happen, yet does nothing to work on it that I can see. Oh well, back to no contact.

I am happy I saw this video. When my avoidant ex broke up with me, he was at least honest. (He monkey branched aided by her family. He wanted to "see where it goes". We had shifted to a situationship). We did hug and say goodbye. He wanted me to remain in his life as a friend. Nope. I let him go. I am happy I handled the situation with grace. No tears, compliants, questions. I wished him well, and let him go. In hindsight as time has passed, I now see the whole thing in a different light.He never meant to hurt me. I know he misses me. He probably feels the loss from time to time. We lasted four years together. He texts briefly occasionally, but we haven't seen each other. It's been nine months now. Knowing him, he feels guilty so I don't expect him to try to come back. He knows I can never be just his friend. Although I am okay most of the time, I still get sad when he comes to mind.

My ex will come around once a week maybe stay the night or two fill my head with hope and then after she leaves she will ghost me not answer or call me she always keeps verbally commiting too come over or go some where at then doesn't show up not ever call and waits days before contacting me with a excuse or a sorry how do I get myself to stop falling into these traps she can't love I know she is taking me from granted
