Do you ever wonder where the billionaires of New York City spend their weekends? Well today guys I’m going to show you inside of a $54 million dollar Long Island mansion!

The $54 million dollar mansion of Long Island is located on billionaires row at 1400 meadow lane in Southampton, New York. The home is newly built as of 2019 and is actually for sale looking to be filled by its first residents. So if you happen to be a billionaire and want to join a neighborhood of like minded people with similar bank accounts now is your chance.

The home was originally listed for sale back in May of 2017 with an asking price of 49 million dollars prior to the completion of the home. Ultimately there was a price change in February of 2018 which brought it to today’s price of $53.9 million dollars. We can assume along the construction path there was some changes made to the original design which ultimately costed to home value to rise a little under 5 million dollars. Now don’t think that if you plan on moving into this 54 million dollar home that the cost of ownership stops at the time of purchase. Because you are going to have to assume that there will be some pretty large operating costs which include basic things such as property taxes and home owners insurance. Start with property tax you can expect to pay roughly 1.25 million dollars per year along with roughly 226,000 dollars per year for home owners insurance. As will since this is most likely not going to be you’re full time home you can assume you will have care takers looking after the home when you’re not around which is going to most likely drive up the cost even more.

The home is set on nearly 3 acres of prestigious ocean front property with a shared beach among your billionaire neighbors. When it comes to living in the Hampton’s you are more or less buying the land on which the home sits on versus buying the actual home. Because the wealthy elite from New York City like to escape on the weekends there becomes a supply and demand problem. Which for real estate investors isn’t much of a problem at all because it makes the average cost per acre in the Hampton’s roughly $1 million dollars and that’s not always for ocean front property. For example the lot of land that this home rests on was sold back in 2016 for $14 million dollars. That breaks down to about $4.67 million dollars per acre.

The house is a 9 bedroom 13 bathroom with 10,927 square feet of living space. Breaking down to about $4,933 per square foot. The home comes with a 6 car garage located beneath the home with additional parking for 10 more cars in the driveway, because if you have a $54 million dollar home on the ocean you’re going to want to have guests over. Coming in through the front door you are met with a bright glass filled modern home. One of the first things you see is the glass elevator bringing you to the second floor of the home. On the first floor of the home is where 6 of the of the 9 bedrooms are located. As well you are going to find a lot of the more homey features on the first floor which include the home gym. As well on the first floor is where you will gain access to the 2,872 square foot marble patio with infinity pool. The whole point of coming to the Hampton’s on the weekend is to unplug and relax and recharge for another long hard week in the city. So having this beautiful outdoor area set looking over the ocean is the perfect place to do that. Moving on upstairs is where the remaining 3 bedrooms are located as well as the main entertainment area is. Diving into the state of the art kitchen you are met with sleek modern cabinets with stone countertops. The massive floor to ceiling windows with ocean front views would sure make me want to do a lot more cooking. Off the kitchen is the main living room and dining room which comes with a three sided glass fire place which will actually serve a functional purpose seeing as it does get could in the winter here. Lastly completing the upstairs entertainment floor is a full size home theater to enjoy when it’s not the best weather to be soaking up some sun on the pool deck. And lastly the roof of the home is complete with another beautiful sun deck with Brazilian hardwood looking out over the ocean. But that pretty much wraps up our tour of this $54 million dollar Long Island mansion!

I love the style! I am in to modern houses that have a similar look to this one. I love the glass railings in side, the living and entertaining spaces in this house make me dream of it even more. I also love the area because it has nice ocean views and despite having a lot of neighbors nearby, it feels like it would be a very peaceful place to be 24-7.
