That unit was from a heavy smokers home which is why the brown crud on everything. Cigarette smoke/ nicotine leaves a residue on everything. The smell from old smoke is rancid.

I’m going to give a little advice. I would be careful taking Broley into the storage units you never know if you are going to run into something that can be spread airborne (drugs, chemicals).

It just boggles my mind as to why people would put food goods into storage for the long term. The gloves were absolutely required for this one, glad you put them on!! Broley was trying to tell you, he didn't like the smell either!
