I bought a pair of these after watching the other DOR do a comparison video on these and some Brooks. I put 15 miles on them in 2 days and they were great! It's not a 128 mile review, but I really liked them. There were a comfortable run and the spring in the forefoot helped me to increase pace a little. I've always seen this GT but never bought a pair till now and I am glad I did.

Sounds like a shoe that I need to add to the rotation. Thanks for the review 🤘🏼

Awesome!
I like the stability aspect of it (which is what it is designed for!duh!) because i got flat feet and i tend to overpronate a bit too much when i am tired.
I haven't got as many miles in these yet, but it will be slightly disappointing if it bottoms out around 120 miles. I am hoping to get a minimum 250 good miles out of it. I am also using GT-1000 13 TR for some mild trails... the energy return on it sucks, it is much firmer (and clunky) but the stability is again very good!

I have now run 460 km (285 miles) in these shoes. Before this, I had the Nimbus 24 (great shoes) and the Nimbus 26. The Nimbus 26 gave me blisters; they were too soft, and I was moving around too much in the shoe. I bought the GT-2000 13 at a specialized running store after proper measuring and a running analysis.

I tested multiple shoes and chose the GT-2000 13 over the New Balance 880 v14. Both felt good when trying them on.

The first 200 km were perfect. Not as soft as the Nimbus, but they felt good, and I even set a PR on the half marathon (1:34). After 200 km, the laces started to irritate me. I think the shoe became too snug due to my training program, where I was running more and more in preparation for a full marathon. Probably my feet are getting swollen or slightly bigger. Now I experience pain on almost every run longer than 10 km (6.5 miles).

It’s probably a rare extensor digitorum longus injury caused by the shoes being too tight. I will try parallel lacing and take a break from running to recover.

It’s a strange pain I never experienced with other shoes — but then again, I’ve never run this many miles before. The lack of strength training probably isn’t helping to prevent injuries either.

If a trainer lasts less than 200 miles, it should get some sort of "not sustainable" mark.

I have GT2000 12 and I really like them sometimes I'd prefer them over my Novablast 3 LE, I can relate all the fact you said about 13. Do you think it's worth upgrading?

Hi, i wonder if you could help me, i need a stability shoe that is also good for long distance (upto 100 mile) i need goretex as i do a lot of winter running. I currently have the asics gt2000 12, ive done 750 miles in these the last 100 miles ive started to pick up so niggles here and there, as well as having a stability shoe inhave also been using insoles (unsure if this is wise or not) im unsure if to stick with gt2000s and get the 13s or to try a new shoe (clifton 9s, other asics ect) any advice and if i should keep using insoles or not qould be great, oh also how big of a shoe to get half size bigger than normal shoe or full size?

Do you recommend these shoes for runners who pronate?

If you had to choose an all-round, all-purpose daily trainer between the GT 2000 and Tempus, which would you take?

Great review! I've been running in Gt-2000 since its model 5 or 6, can't even remember! Right now I've got a pair of Gt-2000s 10 and I absolutely love them. Do you know if they feel like model 13? Even with my own orthotic insoles I like how supportive the shoe feels and how reactive it is. I'm a 1.57, 47 kilos female and they do a great job for me in terms of support. In fact, I've bought recently a pair of Cumulus 26, because I wanted to add in a pair with a little more cushioning, maybe, on rotation for my long runs ( preparing a half-marathon). I'm rather disappointed, to be honest. I don't know if it's the cushioning (which feels really comfortable when you run) but I end up having a weird nagging pain on my knees, which I would never ever get. I wonder if I'm just so used to a more of a stability shoe that I'm not adapting well to Cumulus. I'm thinking of getting a new pair of GT-2000s, that's why I'm comparing reviews of 12 and 13 as model 12 is on sale. Will keep watching some of your reviews. 😅
