Soooo, do you already write your book or are you just getting prepared? What genre will it be? Nanowrimo this year? Together? ;)
I love Agatha Christie and Vondruška as well. Do not expect a thriller though, it is rather a murder mystery, on the cozier side I would say. Nice relaxing read. My grandparents love these books as well. Vondruška is a historian and probably the most popular current Czech author. He wrote more than 20 books with the same main characters, he also has another series from 16th (?) century and then some long sagas. I hope you will enjoy this book :) P.S. Your pronunciation of his surname was perfect (first name - not so much but who cares). EDIT: You dont need to read the books in order. Dont worry about it. The explanation how the knight met his sidekicks is described in book 6 anyway. They are not really chronological. :D
