I really appreciate Shaq’s honesty about arrogance. He wants to be the best to ever do it. I totally respect that.

I think this interview shows why kobe and shaq never really got along. Kobe was always working for more and Shaq was happy with just one

shaq realized about 70% of his potential

He is NOT lying about being arrogant and wanting to hear his name. He does this on Inside the NBA where he brings himself into the conversation or his Lakers team pretty often.

Even with minimal effort, poor off season conditioning, questionable eating habits Shaq was still an unbelievable player and made everyone around him better!

Wilt was more dominant, dude was an absolute freak of nature. His size did not hinder his athleticism one bit.

Shaq just didnt work hard enough. He could have done so much more had he had Kobe, MJ or Birds drive and work ethic.

really appreciate the honesty and self awareness, a lot of respect for shaq

Shaq was also only 10, 825 rebounds away from catching Wilt and it only took Shaq an extra 5 seasons! What a difficult debate between Shaq and Wilt.

"I have 4 rings when ai only wanted one, I am good." you can clearly see the difference between kobe and shaq in this phrase.

I love Shaq, but even if he broke Wilt's record in his final season, it would have taken him 19 seasons to do it. Wilt only played 14 seasons. It even took Kareem 15 seasons to beat the record and Kareem ended up playing 20 seasons. In terms of Big men, Wilt was the most dominant center to ever play the game. He scored more points in less games than any player in NBA history.

People saying what Shaq should be regretting need to sit down. He's his own man and one of the best players this league has ever seen. If you can't respect that then sit down

Imagine if he was a great from the line. He would be the leader in points. Love Shaq but I honestly never understood how a professional ball player can be so bad at free throws.

If Shaq would've taken the game as seriously as possible he would be the most dominant player ever. His laziness is why he isn't.

Wilt was the most dominant ever, but being 2nd to Wilt is pretty damn powerful.

Shaq after 99 stayed 50lbs overweight sometimes 70lb....he was naturally gifted and did work hard to compete but most of the time he didn't have the drive to be greater...he's naturally a her arrogant person that's what I think kept him from something that we all think he could of been....beyond scary....kobe and wade both called him out for it
