Definitely need to weigh it because ours has never been anywhere close to the trailers gross weight rating when fully loaded. We never tow with water in the tanks because it adds so much weight and that adds extra fuel consumption. If we need water we'll add it close to our destination.

what about payload, do you think an F450 could handle a 4700 pound pin weight for a Luxe 48FB Toyhauler, I think the payload for an F450 4X4 is 5600 Pounds ? The trailer weighs 21000 pounds thanks

Ok so my F250 has a 10, 000 lb GVWR and a 3366 payload cap. The weight of my truck with me and cargo is 7550 and I am looking at a travel trailer which is 8300. Am I ok with that or do I need something smaller?
