Fun Fact: Samuel J. Seymour (March 28th, 1860-April 12th, 1956) witnessed this. Just under 91 years later, he went on a Game Show called "I've Got A Secret". That was the last thing he wanted to do before he died.

In all the reenactments I've ever seen, they never really show Wilks Booth breaking his leg. There was a game show from the 50's where they had a 90 something year old man who saw it happen when he was five and he said in an article that he wrote, that when Wilks Booth jumped down, he was obviously hurt and he wondered why no one was helping him. He didn't realize what happened. All the reenactors play off the broken leg like it was no big deal, but it actually was. They should have been able to catch him sooner.

They should not have canceled this show. Great series
