Harrison Ford owns a Kodiak 100 and keeps it hangared with his many other aircraft at KDIJ (he has property in nearby Jackson Hole). He was in the local pattern a lot with his model 100 this past summer and I had never heard of a 'Kodiak' until I heard him on the CTAF broadcasting the type call sign. I asked him if he was the Caravan on base when I was entering downwind and I remember him replying, "No. It looks like a Caravan and sounds like a Caravan, but it's not a Caravan." Pretty much summed it up, lol. Harrison also owns a pristine de Havilland Beaver, also based out of KDIJ, but seemed to fly the Kodiak more than anything else at the time. Must be quite a machine.

Great video. I had a similar experience with my TBM and an M600 when I did my demo flights. Daher cares about their AP and the people who buy them. Also the people at the service centers are hands down the most helpful.

I guess it depends on the application it is utilised for. I worked at a DZ who got the first Kodiak in Europe. From a parachuting perspective it didn’t match the C-208. The front edge of the tail is too close to the rear float step. We had a guy bounce off the tail on one load. The other problem was the exhaust outlet pumping exhaust fumes into the jump cabin. We had an inexperienced pilot was was also our boss who bought it. Bought more through ego than practicality. I’m sure what you use it for it is perfect. For jumping I’d recommend sticking with the C-208.

Love your videos and IG Amir. It's cool to see someone who has the funds to buy a jet get into something like a Kodiak, and use It the way It was designed. Also, Sweet RM!

Very informative. I don’t have the funds for this but everyone can dream! It’s very interesting in that you as a person noticed all the special details that might have been overlooked by others. Details are important.

I have been in aviation since 77. Primarily as a A&P, IA. Also a fair number of years military, and contractor. Now I would like to get back into flying and as of right now my choice would be either one of the Kodiak aircraft or perhaps a PC-12. I like both companies and the way they operate, not to mention the quality and safety with both platforms. With both companies you get what you pay for and those big Pratts up front. It just doesn't get any better. Thank you and be safe.

Are those the Summit seats? Looks different than what Kodiak has on their website with that quilting on it. Very nice!

My new favourite plane this Kodiak 100. Thank you for the time reviewing this beauty of yours. In terms of colour I prefer the red ones on the Kodiak 900. As of quality and aftersales wise, Kodiak manufacturer are among the best in the market I have heard so far from different sources.

That was my experience to a tee…. The “salespeople” or rather “order takers” with Cessna were arrogant, condescending if you remotely bring up a feature you like better of a competitor. And they all say the same condescending rebuttals, they must get “schooled” with what to say, it’s almost comical…..

I used to live up by Tonopah. Miss Vegas, I am back in So Cal now. I love Havasu and it is my dream to live there. I would love to fly over the Vegas area and then go down the river to Havasu. I only get to see it from the water. This is a gorgeous plane, love the color of it.

Hey mate, yes Aussie lol. Your plane is sick!, congrats on the purchase!. I'm glad you chose the Kodiak. All we have here to look at here is caravans after caravans. I'm yet to see a kodiak in the flesh, but I hope I can one day!. And your colour choice is what I would chose as well if I was in your position, so well done!. They are hands down way more sexy than the caravan. Man I'm a camping/fishing/musician guy and that thing would get used for all them fields if only I could afford one🤣

More videos please! It's been two months since your last Kodiak adventure. I think all of your subscribers have been patient enough and surely you've had enough of your patients. ;)

Nice! -- QUESTION -- Could you still install the float plane option to land on water, or is that something that must be decided before it is built and bought? How big a process is it to convert it? (we are in the PNW and love water planes)

How's the service after sale been? I think people feel comfortable with Cessna and its vast service and supply network. Daher's not new, but the Kodiak's sales numbers pale in comparison to the Caravan.
I'm sure if you were the military or a large corporate buyer from Textron you would have gotten a free t-shirt and hat.
