Oh man! I can’t tell you how appreciative I am at being led to your channel. For years I have battled powdery mildew on my peas and squash plants………….and NOTHING I have tried even comes remotely close to how well whey works. I mean literally, within five hours of application, I see an astonishing reduction in the presence of mildew. Thank you, thank you thank you!

So you can squeeze 2 lemons into a pot with 1 gallon milk. To keep your microbes alive.. Instead of boiling, you can heat the milk to a lower temperature, like 190°F (88°C) for 30 minutes, to pasteurize it. Then, you can add an acid like yogurt or lemon juice to curdle the milk. Separate the whey from curds by strain it threw a cheese cloth covered strainer. Twist the cheese cloth filled with the curds and squeeze out the remains of whey from the curds and press the curds into a mold to set in the fridge to make homemade cheese. Then transfer your pot of whey to your sprayer for your plants protection. FYI... Lemon juice won't hurt the microbes. but if you use vinegar instead of the citric acid, the vinegar will kill your microbes. So don't 🌺

I legit used to just spray my cucumbers and squash with 1% milk. worked every time. Now I don't till, don't use raised beds (too dry above the water table) and I do back to eden film gardening and never have ever had any of those problems ever again in over 10 years. I'm glad you're posting this though for people who still use raised beds and who till.

Thank you for explaining how and why things you do work. I’ve heard about using milk on things like squash plants but I didn’t bother since I didn’t know why. With the information about the battle of the microbes I know it’s not just a gimmick.
