I think the way people get 5 or 7 friends away is because you can have 200 friends maximum, and say you have 6 friends away from david. The possible math for it would be 200 to the power of 6, now imagine there was a giant grid, 200 feet in width, and the length is 200^6, 200 to the power of 6, within that space there is a bunch of random people in each square grid, which there would be 64, 000, 000, 000, 000 people in 1x1 foot grids, and within one is the chance of David being in it, therefore is the reason why you're 6 away, the grid tightens up when you have friends that are larger people, because from there, it's only going higher up the ladder. I'm not great at explaining but basically, the lower the number of the exponent for 200 would decrease the chances of you having a connection to someone who's friends with him, but increasing would give you a wider range of people. That's my theory
