Literally wearing a neon crop top as I type this...Power shoulders were invented by Adrian the famous costume designer in 1930s Hollywood for Barbara Stanwyck who had a hip heavy figure. The shoulder pads and gathers at the shoulder were designed to balance her figure and they took off as a massive trend in the 40s and again in the 80s.

We were wearing men’s trousers back in the 70s I have not seen a style that I could say I haven’t seen before style recycles itself I think regular street people are more creative than designers we were wearing scarfs tight in the back in the 70s we probably didn’t call it by the same nameThank you for sharing

Can't do the crop top (big boobs Problem) but I got neon more in the shoes category. Yea, I thrifted some lightweight blazer in the same style. I crazy about thrifting men suit/blazer but most of them are wool. So I was happy to finally come across some that could be worn during warmer climates, I just purchased a suit for $5 that has the coveted peak lapel blazer and the trousers fit me. I did the happy dance. I use to watch MGM old movies and the women wore strong shoulders garment and yes I had them also for work in the 80s/90s and even up the style by just wearing a bra underneath for the night club. I still have those suits and blazer from back then and because the blazers were so oversize I can still wear them. I always been crazy about wide legs pant and just fell in love when I saw your Jacquemus Wide Leg Trousers. I have those wide legs trouser but those make a statement, so I am so looking for those while I am thrifting. Not so much into the Kelly green (St. Patrick flashback mode) but I probably just have not found something in that color that vibe with me. It hard for me to keep up with these Apps that keep changing their name, what up with that. Glad you and Mike were able to sneak away for a quick vacay.
