If you swallow one piece of gum, it's okay. Gum doesn't actually stay in the stomach for 7 years, your body treats it like normal and it comes out 2-3 days later. If you swallow lots, then it could be fatal as gum is made from something that shouldn't be swallowed regularly.

Bullshit. Doctors did not find massive piles of gum in her. The coroner found four pieces of gum postmortem, and ruled the cause of death as hypoxia from electrolyte deficiency. The only person who thinks gum had anything to do with it was her mother.

Gum passes through your body at the same rate as everything else. Most of the time your body completely breaks it down, occasionally a piece may survive and come out the other end. It doesn’t build up, it doesn’t cause serious issues. If you ate a massive amount of it all at once, you MIGHT end up with a blockage, but that’s extremely unlikely. You can swallow every piece of gum you chew your entire life and never see an I’ll effect.
