Regardless of the situation... the referee should always have his eyes in the fighter. If he needs to talk to the judges, he should stop the fight, separate fighters and have his discussion. Just another moment that makes it seem as though everyone involved is paid off. As is typical for boxing. Anything the mafia is involved in, is always suspicious. Moments like these, where the referee can barely keep his eyes open and certainly can't keep his eyes on the fighters, makes it seem as though this one was gonna be rigged. The fight is still going and the referee is order a Big Mac with a large fry and a milkshake. He must have forgot there was a boxing match taking place behind him.
