Air Force B-52s Are Closer to Getting New Rolls-Royce Engines

The venerable B-52 has been in service for decades, and new engines from Rolls-Royce will keep the bomber flying for years to come.

I believe they will cruise at 50, 000 feet at around 670mph maybe the new engines they could bump the speed of sound or who knows maybe they do now.

Russia last month announced that they were going to get those old B52 engines for its fleet of TU 160 planes

This old dinosaur is so vulnerable to today's surface to air missile battery that i don't understand why the U.S keeps milking them.
