As a Third Order Dominican, I was given a different explanation. My understanding, it is prayed like the Divine Office, but the reason is different. The lay brothers could not read so they could not pray the liturgy of hours. So the rosary was prayed in the same manner as the liturgy of the hours. Same opening prayers, etc.

Why is the glory be ending different. I have always known it to be “and ever shall be world without end” the Latin is the same. Is it wrong to use the proper English as written above?

Is the Rosary format the same for an individual desiring to pray in the Dominican tradition? It's confusing since all the examples I've found show how to pray with others rather than praying the Rosary alone. Much obliged.

I wish i knew where i could join in on a ginormous rosary experience. Biggest ive partaken is about 75 people. I definatly can see an effect. However, i see the potential here. And i would like to up it to over a thousand. Not sure where something like this would occur.
