Patek is the Rolex for the truly wealthy. They think they’re just supposed to have one.

Absolutely overrated. This isn’t Patek’s wheelhouse (or AP). In the category of sports watches this can’t compete with Rolex. These Genta designed (or inspired) watches came out in the 70s and were considered ugly old man watches for 40 years… until Jay Z ran out of Rolexes to buy and started buying Pateks and other rappers copied him..then it became popular. This is intended to be a beater watch for someone with a 300k+ complicated watch to wear to the beach. For people that were into Patek before their favorite rapper told them about it: this ain’t it.

I hate it. Don’t like the shape, the horizontal lines on the face, or those wings on either side. Looks like they took a design que from some tampons.

Yes. Completely overrated. If timex made the same watch, identical in every way, was automatic. It would be a $500 watch. But if it says Patek it’s for some odd reason unobtainable and way overpriced. I stoped playing the watch game, once everything started selling for over MSRP

It's still by far my favorite dream (if i win the lottery) watch. But yeah 100k+ seems a bit much for it

Better than AP but the dial, like AP, is just dated and somewhat ugly. Looks good on but the price. For people so rich they waste money even on really average looking things

Yes. This is the watch you buy when you're obscenely rich but incapable of an original thought. No-one buys this because of its looks.

Honestly, I don't like the appearance one bit. Having said that, if it were on my wrist, it'd be a different story.

MSRP was Ok 20 years ago. People that are paying 100k+, they are probably guys and ladies that know about this brand a few years ago because of social media. They are fashion fans, NOT watch enthusiasts.
