Nicolas Cage is back (He was never gone) as himself. He and Pedro Pascal are on a mission to make a great film and relive the Cage glory days. The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent brings up a lot of 80s and 90s Nic Cage nostalgia but it never goes very far with the references. Overall, it's a fun and entertaining experience that doesn't really reach as high as it should. Definitely a film for the Nicolas Cage fans and alienating to those unfamiliar with his body of work.

All the best in your new home. I saw this movie and thought it was great. This is all Pedro Pascal's movie, if you ask me. All the humour comes from him. Nic Cage is just playing Cage. Froot Loops, wasn't it?

For the most part I thought this was extremely generic, which is a shame cos cages other roles lately have been anything but. Pig was my favourite film of last year. Seeing cage himself in interviews saying that this isn't accurate to his real self honestly just makes it seem like this movie is pandering and relying on a gimmick without much actual substance

But Pedro and cage do have some top tier chemistry

My thoughts exactly; this movie was a Meh.. at best. This coulda been really fun with cage reinacting his old characters with other cameos. But I was bored a lot watching this. This movie was borderline boring.
