English National Cross Country Championships 2015 - Senior Men
Показать описание
There was an incredible turnout of 2005 finishers (plus quite a few who retired) for the final race of the day, the biggest field seen at the National for decades.
There were some great performances from the Manx Harriers athletes, with three finishing inside the top 10% of the field, two of whom were inside the top 5%. Three of the team - Andy Isaac, Richard Highfield and Matt Mortimer - were taking part in the event for the first time.
Finishing positions were 82nd Kevin Loundes, 96th Ollie Lockley, 164th Alan Corlett, 539th Andy Isaac, 673rd Richard Highfield, 1119th Andy Fox, 1701st Matt Mortimer.
There are a lot of athletes filmed early in the race who are well known to the Manx athletes through the Easter Festival, Lancashire Cross Country and Island Games. Kevin and Ollie were pleased to get the better of Island Games rival Joe Wade from the Isle of Wight a race long battle - in Ollie's case by two seconds and one place!
The team (first six to count) finished in 45th place out 145 teams - a more than decent effort. And Andy Fox even looked like he was enjoying the race - at least on one of the early shots!
