I suggest using docker over installing it locally. The benefit is that you can create a database in literally a few seconds. Also, it's easy to export and import into a new server.

Hi Tony! I was following this tutorial and the lemp stack + Wordpress tutorial, but I encountered countless of errors. I was doing this as a sudo group user not root. Do I have to everything in this as a root user? Thank you
