Показать описание
Are you looking for a ridiculously quick way to make Banoffee Pie? This is just perfect for when you need a dessert, but haven't got time to pull out all the stops! You only need 4 ingredients (the others aren't necessary to complete the dish), and it's also cheap! Another great recipe for beginners to build a collection of go-tos!
I find that the more ripe the bananas are, the better for a really flavoursome treat!
Today you'll need:
150ml whipping cream
one pastry base
just over 1/2 tin caramel
2 ripe bananas, sliced
grated chocolate/dessicated coconut for decoration (optional).
Equipment: a large bowl and whisk or fork; large spoon;
Method:
1. Start by whipping up the cream until thick and it forms stiff peaks.
2. Spread caramel evenly on the pastry base.
3. Arrange banana slices on top of the caramel.
4. Spread whipped cream on top of the bananas, making sure to fill the gaps.
5. Create gentle swirls or peaks to decorate. Alternatively, sprinkle grated chocolate or dessicated coconut over the top.
6. Refridgerate for a few hours at least.
