And try to survive your stupidity" - yea, it's an aggressive song. To me everything fits with the mood of the song. But, like someone said in another reaction comment: not every song need to be favorite. With a repertoire like Nightwish have your bound to run into a few that doesn't gel with you as much as the other ones. I think your doing a great job in appreciating the musicianship and the things you find good about the song - there is no need to love all of them. Honesty is more important in my book.

You hit the nail on the head when you mentioned "musicianship". These guys are "musicians" and do what the SONG needs, not what their egos tell them to do. This song is a perfect example, it's the only song where Empouu really shreds, if it wasn't for this song you would never know he could light it up like that. THAT'S musicianship!

Good and honest reaction! I also had to get used to this song and there are some NW songs that I don't like so much while others like them. A question of taste. As you were a drummer I suggest you react to Wintersun "Sons of Winter and Stars" with drummer Kai Hahto who is now the current drummer of Nightwish. That very nice guy is a Beast, the Human Metronome😂. Wintersun is a Finnish symfonic deathmetal band but they have made a lot of beautiful songs.
