While Eric Bellion, skipper of Stand As One – Altavia, was sailing towards Cape Horn during Sunday night the pin holding the forestay of his J2 (foresail) worked loose. And ofcourse we take a good look at the stragety and projection for possible the last 4 days of Charlie and Yoann's epic battle to the Finish line

Hi Florian and wolves
I have enjoyed very much your first class call of the Vendee globe, spectacular really and it will be difficult not waking up to your toast. So as an idea if you have some spare time ( that’s a joke) there are another group of adventures heading around the globe and that’s the “Longue Route” and the circumnavigation in honour of Bernard Moitessier’s efforts in the southern ocean. Not as cashed up but awesome just the same and perhaps a small mention could help their morale.. Many thanks ….Brett in Tasmania…..the other side

Dear Florian, miss you and the daily update already, quite funny remarks about beeing shocked... may be we'll find another topic, you can create a show of ?😅😂
Conrad again cool with the mastif and chiuaua, hilarious 😂
Keep up the good work, best regards from southern Germany, unfortunately very far from any sea 😊

Glad you had a day off and thanks for the heads up that you’ll be leaving as our daily ocean fantasy class leader. Loved the intro and that becalmed Cape Horn weather toast! Amazing boats and technology history we’re watching 🎉

Surely there must be another race to follow before the Ocean Race? Well done, it has been a blast following your very detailed updates. Thanks, Andrew

Boris and the lightning, interesting!

As a small time racer, I've covered, and been covered, many times, but always with a boat I could see. It's pretty weird to watch Dalin covering a boat that's over a hundred miles away.

You deserve the day off Florian, good decision.

I also think Conrad is seriously underestimating just how much chihuahua's get wound up! 😂

Enjoyed the opening scenes with the AI dub.

at the end of the season, can you make a final video analyzing why Dalin won, what rest did wrong and what was the breakpoint after which he won the race?

Thanks for your commentary throughout the race, top stuff.

Any plans to do a segment on Guirec Soudée's dip into the water to retrieve his halyard? Sounds like a very interesting activity.

I'm wondering about the effects of the lightning strike on Boris. Is there any effective protection against lightning strikes? I once saw a video on the subject and protection seems very complex and therefore hardly available.

You have a beautiful dog, glad you spent some time with him yesterday. Looks like Boris encountered lightning problems. Hope he can restore the operation of the affected systems. The Jules Verne attempt has been aborted (again) due to a lost central rudder. I'm beginning to doubt that this record will be beaten, not in the foreseeable future unless something can be done to minimize the risk of broken rudders and foils. I was really looking forward to Sodebo succeeding.

Florian, loving your show and tuning in every day for Seawolves!". I have a question for you: Do you know what Starlink gear and subscription model the VG boats use? I am going to single hand New Zealand to Tonga via Minerva reef early June and am still torn what to get for comms... Been using Iridium in 2023 but getting old now. Thanks a lot in advance! Oli

Two questions - how can you be Swimming in That cold water? Do they have neoprene suits on Board? And - what about Boris and his Lightning? Can he still be going at top Speed? By the way great footage from Conrad again!

You may not have noticed that Boris's yacht was struck by lightning last night. Or at least very close. As a result, all the sensors are dead. Only one autopilot was able to be brought to life. I'm not sure if the radar was able to be brought to life.

Hi there, I like your show very much. Thanks a lot for the reports and explanations. Cheers! One noob questions: are there any Yardsticks for Foilers and Non-foilers?

What are those white circles with a red rim, apparently around the numeral “1”?
