what used to be snow | Blooper Pedal and Minilogue (Ambient Sketch #2)

(^ get the song here)
Here is an example of using the Blooper Pedal as a filtered delay.
Each repeated echo goes through the filter again and again so the sound is constantly modulating onto itself.
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite pedals of all time. @knobs_demos and @chaseblissaudio really outdid themselves on making something that leads to lots of experiments and new discoveries. You can get totally lost just twisting sounds out of the knobs.
To get this kind of effect:
Record a short loop which will act as your tap tempo (the bpm of the delay). Engage the recording function and leave the repeats around 12 o’clock. Turn on Modifier 2 and place on number 6 (the filter effect). To make the filter build onto itself, put the pedal in add mode. Now you are all set.
This effect almost sounds like a tape delay (especially if you add a bit of the stability function). But, it is still something totally different and unique. The are a lot of other special delay effects you can make with it and I’m planning to make videos about them too. But, for today, I really liked how this version was affecting the tones coming out of our Korg Minilogue synth so I wanted to be sure to catch these pretty ambient sounds before they melted away like the snow of the year.
