Показать описание
We travel to Amish country in Lancaster County, PA to several of the spring mud sales. Every spring, the local fire companies have huge auctions of furniture, craft projects, plants, building supplies, farm equipment, buggies, quilts, and more--not to mention delicious homemade PA Dutch cooking--in order to raise money for the volunteer fire companies, EMS, and first responders. The term mud sale comes from the fact that the ground is almost always soft this time of year and with all the trampling, the fields are inevitably muddy at these late winter sales. Journey with us as we grab some chicken BBQ, strawberry pie, chicken corn soup, and shoofly pie and take in the culture of the Amish community. Along the way, you'll see some stunning hand-stitched quilts for sale at these auctions, as well.
