He might not have finished at the highest level playing at celtic, but he was loved by their fans, won trophies and played regularly and played in the Champions league. After getting the boot from Man City, losing his England place would have been gutting being third choice at spurs, but glad he went out happy playing in front of 60000 fans every week and winning a trophy against rangers in his last game. Always seemed like a normal down to earth guy. Happy for him.

I've always really liked this guy. He was a really good keeper. Enter Pep and all of a sudden the guys being treated like hes a crap goalkeeper. I dont know the inn's and outs of what happened but I think that was a significant blow to his confidence that he struggled to come back from. And if it was that that led to his downturn then he didn't deserve that. He did so much for Man City and deserved more in return.
