Overall, Iowa looked like a clean, cohesive unit on both the offense and defensive sides of the ball. C.J. Beathard hit running back Jordan Canzeri on a screen play that went for 51 yards, and Matt VandeBerg led receivers with 6 receptions for 59 yards. The Hawks had 5 sacks in the game and got all of them in the second quarter of play. OL James Daniels played in the game, marking the first time an Iowa freshman offensive lineman has done so since Bryan Bulaga in 2007.
