Tension flared outside the Parliament complex on Thursday with both the BJP and Congress accusing each other's MPs of "assault" during protests related to Union Home Minister Amit Shah's remarks on Dr BR Ambedkar. As political drama escalated, representatives from both BJP and Congress reached police offices in the national capital. A BJP delegation reached the Deputy Commissioner of Police office, while a large Congress delegation visited the Assistant Commissioner of Police's office on Parliament Street.
