9.3 Management review
9.3.1 General
Management reviews are carried out periodically at planned intervals to assess the health and effectiveness of the quality management system. This exercise is done by the top management after each audit.
Agenda for the management review is normally issued by the System Coordinator. The agenda includes all the points contained in the clause, and feedback on the various issues is taken, compiled and presented to the top management for carrying out the review.
The top management reviews the organization’s quality management system to ensure its continuing suitability, adequacy, effectiveness and alignment with the strategic direction of the organization. Wherever any gaps are observed, the concerned Heads are directed to take action in an agreed time frame. So the outcome of management review is recorded with specific action plan to be completed in the timeframe fixed for the action by top management.
The results of actions taken are reviewed in the subsequent management review.
