SLIPSTREAMING in MIAMI (Formula 4)

On a straight this long, the slipstream effect is SUPER powerful in a Formula 4 car. This is a great visual example of how much drag there is in clean air vs. the "tow." As soon as I pop out from behind the other car, my momentum almost instantly dies and we're pretty much dead even all the way to T1... Low downforce cars always make for the best racing!

Stay in the slipstream, bump in to the back of the car in front you, then bump him off the road and gain his position. 💪😉

He was gaining mid corner because he had a smaller distance to travel in the corner, not necessarily because he was faster.

But yes, when you get out of the slipstream, you lose the slipstream effect.

probably a dangerous idea, but notice the gap to the defender's left after he hits the apex on turn one. if you stray to the right and then apex late you can actually get a higher exit speed and have a snowball's chance in hell of getting to the q2 inside line before defender does.

He gots the better line. Slipstream and side drafts are good but attempt to follow his line then when your close to the end of a turn overtake around the outside when he turns most. The friction he makes with that turn will slow him down and if you take the corner wide you can overtake. Note not a corner that's slanted but a flat corner
