Correction * you don’t have to go back to school for another two years if you’re already a RT or Nuc Med tech, some schools offer an ATC & it’s a year program

I have been considering radiation therapy as a potential career choice, and recently came across an article discussing the possibility of automation in the field. This has led me to ponder the future outlook of this profession, and I am curious to know your thoughts on the matter

Hey I finished all my prerequisites for nursing and already have an associates of science degree. I'm just waiting to get my teas exam results 😅 but I might change my career choice to this 😅

Thank you for this video and helpful comments for many people. I heard that radiation is dangerous to human bodies because it damages DNA and gene mutations. The google also says there is still minor or high risk of it to the patients and therapists. Have you every heard or seen any therapist who was exposed to it?

Hi Juan thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge with all of us. After a complete the AS Degree, completing your bachelor degree as RT is worth it? or you can advanced in your career without a bachelor? thank you.

This sounds like a great job, but it also seems like it will be difficult to get a job out of school.

It's not always a 2-year program. There are plenty of 1 year of programs.

Hi Juan great vid! Do you have an idea why nuclear med techs have even less job openings?

I am about to start school for RT in July. Once you graduate. Can you also specialize in CT, mri, etc? Without doing the Radiology program ? Unfortunately, I live in rural area so RT is very limited for landing a job. I wanted to have a back up plan if I have trouble finding a RT position .
