It's 3am the morning after mother's day, my 16th birthday. I've just woken from a dreamless sleep. My worst birthday in a while, I guess my family was stressed by the combination and then everything went to hell. My parents fought with my sister, my dad yelled at me, my mom was moody and pissed off all day because she took and posted a candid picture of me without permission and I asked her to take it down. It rained all day. I hate the rain. I fell asleep alone and crying. But it's okay now, because it's 3am and it feels like everyone in the world is asleep except me. Like it's my little secret. Like I have all the power in the world. It feels surreal.

I know it can feel hopeless sometimes and like there’s literally no point, but there always is.
