Did you know that for GHOSTBUSTERS... Ernie Hudson -- who plays Winston Zeddemore -- also auditioned for his character's voice in the animated series. But he was rejected -- because producers didn't think he sounded enough like Winston from the movie.

When Ernie initially auditioned for and accepted the role of Winston for the movie, the character had been given this extensive backstory about having been a test pilot with a history of UFO sightings who was with the Ghostbusters from the start, hoping to get some answers about the larger universe. He was extremely disappointed (and rightfully so) when they actually began work on the movie and his character had been completely rewritten to just being a guy who joins partway through for the paycheck. (Apparently the studio had the character cut down so they could set aside more screen time for Bill Murray)

He even took the role at much less money than he'd initially asked for because it was a great character and he thought it'd kickstart his career. And then he gets there and he's not on the poster, he's in almost none of the marketing, and he doesn't even join the team until partway through the film. Ernie doesn't regret sticking with the movie, but it's safe to say he deserved a lot better.
