Grumble trailing is actually something I would recommend using, as someone who will almost never play the game again because of how hard it is when you can’t.

You know what, the grumble tips about right as they pass you go behind them and shining a light at them is actually super, super helpful. On my 4th run when I got there I died because I took a wrong tunnel, but my second time I made it there I successfully escaped without damage (took an an entire hour. Would have taking shorter if they wouldn’t camp anchor C). Now with these tips I can actually beat it way faster and easier. Thanks man!

1: Following grumbles is good, but be careful because they have a 50% chance at any time to turn around.
2: sometimes the grumbles decided “yeah i’m gonna hit this player not that far” causing you to instantly die. Also if it’s a queen grumble, shining a flashlight isn’t as effective
3: Yeah it’s very weird that halt has an increased chance to drop more items in the one lootbox. Just make sure you have at least a lighter and a glowstick otherwise the chest just spawns those.
5: Sometimes the doors are close to each other so look for which door has the least sound.
6: You can jump over 2 rocks. Once you hit the second valve, you can go down the staircase but don’t go all the way down, just get on the railing and jump on the rock.
If you fall with less than 75% hp, ur cooked because it doesn’t give you as much height so you HAVE to go to the stairs

These are amazing tips tho and actually helped me be more consistent when i have the stupid c anchors

0:52 Grumbles do actually take the same path. There was 2 grumbles camping outside the door after finding my B anchor. They later moved on after 2 minutes.

Another tip I find useful for the Grumbles is that if they corner you into a room with a hallway that has a dead end, I wait for it to approach the dead end and just head the opposite direction.

But this guide should hopefully definitely help, as I died to the final Seek bossfight 5 times, and I’m so desperate to beat it!

Bro these tutorials are way more better than the ones that basically goes like “blah blah blah (1hr of useless talking about their pet rock later) so anyways to survive a grumble do not die from it

according to the doors articles grumbles (including their queen) hitbox is only present on their main bodies/faces but not their tentacles so even if you touch their tentacles, you won't take damage and with that present its recommended to stay near the wall while you're in the tunnels

3:48 If you are curious, yes. The shakelight stuns them too.

3:12 you also want to walk backwards and not fully turn your camera so you lose less distance

Door 150 after i recognized all anchors and stopped being scared of grumbles is hella easy, room 200 is way harder

2 things I want to add
1. If you look at a giggle the attack range decreases
2. After door 150 when Dupe is attacking he will duplicate the wooden doors and not iron doors meaning if you see a wooden door next to an iron door go through the iron door

One thing I would like to mention is to look up a map, it is very helpful when trying to find an anchor and I have memorized this map so I know where each anchor is for speedrunning.

Pro tip: keep moving forward at halt when Halt you see “turn around” move backwards immediately

My advice for the Mines is to buy the Bandage pack. Even though it is tied for cheapest item in the pre-run shop, it's the most OP. The only entities you can't heal back from are one-shots, and all of them are predictable. It is super helpful for:

A. Grumbles, they only deal 55 damage so assuming you find a safe place to use it, the bandage pack can allow you to take more hits from Grumble
B. Seek Goo, While I'd recommend you find the nearest solid ground, you can use it on the floating platforms if your desperate enough
C. Giggle, sometimes you see someone get hit by Giggle and go "should've gone slower" but than turns out there are two Giggles and now you've been attacked by one!
D. Chip damage from Eyes/Gloombats, when you first open a door you sometimes take chip damage from there two

Bandage pack instantly takes care of the two biggest road blocks of floor two right behind Seek's first chase (A and B) while also taking care of what are probally the other two major sources of damage. Add on top of this the fact you can restock it in completely in like 10 rooms if you open everything and you have yourself a really good item! You can find it randomly through-out the run and in Jeffs shop but if you want to garuntee you have it you can get it for only 100 knobs which is like 2 runs worth.
