Hello from Ireland again, Lee. God, I didn't know what to expect for £450, but, I'm very surprised, it's not bad at all, lol. Hopefully, a Coil pack will sort it out. That Dacia was Cheap, Lee, and the perfect color, for some happy customers lol. I love those clocks and gauges, half digital, and half normal, as we Irish would say, lol 😅😅. This Compact looks like its sills and wheel arches are still solid and properly attached (E46s can rust like crazy in those areas). Any tidy E46 can be a good buy at the moment. Find a good one now before prices shoot up like those old boxy E30s did.

Pc valves on those engines fail, fastest/ cheapest way to fix is to install the VW 1.8T or TT 20v pcv valve and just add it inline with rubber hoses externally as the bmw one should be just be blowing through and it one way anymore

Hi Lee I've retired now but have used Topdon jump starters for years I've got a js3000 never used it my friend who has a garage was sick of his snap on jump starter letting him down I gave him my well used js2000 and he is converted loves it

Hi Lee, have you considered building another bay with ramp and employing another mechanic to help flow of cars. Or possibly convert the office to a bay with a roller shutter and get a portacabin for an office. I’m thinking more time for you to be buying and speedier throughput of cars equals more profit. The E46 Compact isn’t the best motor when it’s got the a 4pot N42 as they’re known to be a bit fragile, if you’re in the market for a 4 cylinder compact you’re far better off going for the earlier E36 Compact with the M43 or preferably the M44 as in the E36 Ti.
Saying that the 6 cylinder E46 compacts make good money and are a great motor and they’ve got a bit of a cult following.
Mind you yours looks clean and it looks great in black.
