Coach I just got to thank you. No doubt finding all these videos takes forever and you do just such a great job on essentially providing a survey on every technique you teach.

The best thing about your coaching is it's based on real game footage. In the past I practiced so many things in the gym only to find out they're useless in real games. I wish I were more selective in absorbing what coaches told me but you don't know as a kid I guess.

As always, there are fantastic tips, Coach! I also always make sure to tell my kids to be sure to make sure their elbow rises when putting up a floater - some young players have a tendency to keep their arms a little too low and/or stationary when putting up running floaters, which results in a low arc trajectory and front rim misses.

Floaters are an important part of a player's skillset as it is a very useful shot in situations where you cannot drive all the way to the hoop but yet have to. However, as it is still considered a shot from a distance, you would have to work on the accuracy. Using the board to bank the shot in is a useful tip if approaching from the side.

The important thing is the player executing the floater has to be ready and execute the shot when he goes into the lane so as to have a separation distance from the defender in front of him. If it is executed too late, he will not have time to get into the shooting sequence as the defender would have closed out the separation distance and be too near to him.

With the finishing, another way to visualise it is simply pushing the ball, with your hand/palm shape never changing. The only motion should be your arm to push it and release.

Coach it will be great for the Centres if you add a video teaching the basics of playing post or the big man game.
