one clarification, on switch A side, switchport access vlan 10 you have VLAN 10 and also on this same switch under Trunk you have NATIVE VLAN 10.. Isn't it against security violation??

We cannot have native vlan <id> to be used on any switchport access right??

If you configure the SW_access port on VLAN 10 and also under trunk if you configure Native on VLAN 10 so thats against the security rule because best practice says do not use Nativ VLAN id to any switchports. Right????

Thank You ! I've understood that all the untagged traffic will go to native vlan eventhough they are different vlan's

Well, sort of. The Cisco STP instances (PVST+ or RPVST+) running on both ends, will block the mismatching native vlans and traffic will not be able to pass. But assuming that STP is not running, then yes, your example is correct.

why are you sending out of the native vlan? I thought the native vlan would be used for the trunking. I am more confused than i was I think.

Do you still toy around with your Pineapple wifi? If so, you should make some videos. Like module reviews or real life field tests

i see how switching it to the other vlan on switch 2 got the ping through but this isnt really a fix is it? more of a dangerous work around. Right?

Nice information to help understand the native vlan, even though you would not use the example, as stated in vid.No one has explained to me why you need the native vlan on a router subinterface  on a Router on a Stick, it serves no purpose and 'everyone' accepts it needs to be given. Any ideas ?

Hi! I'm using CPT v6.2.0.0052.
What's the difference between:

SW1(config-if)#switchport trunk native VlanX
and
SW1(config-if)#switchport native VlanX

Thanks :)

Your spanning tree protocol didn't work because the native VLAN is also used by layer 2 protocols which send their frames untagged (e.g. CDP, DTP, VTP, STP).
