I’m so happy you talked about this on your channel. And gave examples of racism and racial profiling. Cause there’s people that still don’t believe this goes on either through ignorance or they just don’t care. We all need to take a stand. And it starts with each and every one of us. I also focus on reading books with plots that sound interesting in the genres that I love but that alone doesn't result in diversity. I am not necessarily seeing all the options that are available because not every book gets promoted equally and I don't even realize that I am only seeing what publisher think that I (white/female) will buy. The burden therefore is on me to dig deeper, seek out and find diverse books that still tell great stories that I want to read about, and then talk about them when I love them so that others can find them too.
