How does a non-vegan person love (thy neighbor as thyself)? If acting with a high degree of the understanding of nonduality, one would automatically be vegan in today’s world (IMO), as to be non-vegan is to not act out love towards others (including humans that suffer for example living near hog farms etc). Are you vegan? If not, how do you justify that from this awakened place? With love and gratitude for all your teachings.

Very well said Rupert...We can't legislate morality, however, from a place of LOVE as you so clearly expressed it's not needed...Once the feeling/understanding is realized, how we think, act, feel, perceive and relate is shifted...Thanks for posting this video...I A(nama rupa)M !!!

There are very difficult ethical decisions to face that are not quite set and stone even with the non dual understanding. For example, do we use animals to test for vaccines if that would allow for the vaccine to get out faster (thus saving more lives) or not use animals at all and take longer for the vaccine to be made and perhaps not be made public at all (as it, untested could pose a risk to humans). Also, does one see that every conscious life form, such as a rat is equivalent to a human? If one really felt that everything as themselves, than this would be so. It is hard to choose the value of one life over another when it comes to making such decisions especially when the impacts on either end are profound (on a government level for example). Or is there reason to die in order to save the life of another, if all lives are truly equivalent.

Rupert still uses the word "some of us"...implying a deferential. This.... Rupert is what is even if it appears transparent it is inescapable...we all use ethics

So how would he deffend himself or his family if an ordinary person tried to hurt them in any shape of form?

Guess it is a journey from self identified morality to whole-listic morality. The problem with self identified morality is people have an exaggerated filter in how they see mistakes. Say a daft thought arises, the filter would exaggerate it into a person and then get highly stressed into a personal form of neurosis. People even judge others conversations in the same way. Often people blab silly thoughts with no intention yet still get wound up.. Getting a sense a perspective ie asking is it just passing thought, is there any real intention, is it part of an attitude. Obviously even if you believe in represental existence, no thought can ever fully represent you and thoughts are impermanent having no inherent existence as a seperate part.

The truth of this world is everything preys on something else. Things die for you to live. Humans prey on and compete with other humans. This is a harsh reality of this world.
